Dowry systemIn our country there are many kinds of unpleasant customs which are against asuccessful and developed nation. Among these bad habits dowry is thefirst. Dowry means property or money brought by a bride toher husband when they marry. Dowry system is the most hateful system in our society. It is a social curse. Usually in our society female children are considered inferior to malechildren. During marriage ceremony a section of greedy people claim much wealth or money from the guardians of the brides. If the guardians fail to fulfil the demand of their bridegroom, they misbehavewith their wives and sometimes torture them seriously. As a result many of them get divorced or commit suicide or are killed by their husbands. This problem must be removed immediately from the society.
